updateI have been busy having a family summer and staying dry.
I have been to the shooting range many times getting ready for the moose hunt. Also have been skeet shooting to
stay tuned in for eiders. Eiders are rafting up now and there is literally thousands of them around. I still have
weekend dates avalible for those of you who have been putting off booking your seaduck hunt. I recommend booking soon
as time has a way of slipping past us. The Maine waterfowl meeting is in Augusta on August 20th at 600 pm.

Eider updateUnfortunatly I was unable to assist this year in the eider count and
banding the state does. However I have heard from Brad Allen the waterfowl biologist who organizes the outing.
Numbers are up! Birds numbers have been down the last 2 years. The crew counted 500 nests, captured and banded
128 hen eiders. They also recaptured 60 hen eiders, and observed 2 broods. Hopefully next year I will be reporting
these numbers first hand.
