Come to Maine and hunt black duck, mallard, woodduck, teal, gadwall, pintail and more!
Hunters in Maine have a wide variety of duck species to hunt.  Canada goose season starts in mid-September, we hunt coastal Maine and central Maine for geese.  Maine Seaduck Guide Service offers canoe hunting trips as well.  Canoe trips are a lot of fun, we start very early.  You will sit it the bow of the canoe, Heidi in the center, Patrick in the stern paddling.  Canoeing downstream in the early morning mist can be chilly, however once the sun is high enough in the sky it gets quite warm.  Ducks flush from the edges of the streams from under cover of the brush.  Shots are typical of the trap range for most flushes.  We stop once birds are down to let Heidi make retrieves.  Most trips are round trip and last until 11:00 am roughly.  If you want a longer one way paddle we can make arrangements for that as well.  So if you are in need of prime drake wood ducks this could be the trip for you.
